Rydal House Nursing Home is registered for fourteen beds, and we beleive that the smaller home is by far more personal, by virtue of their size; the staff complement and dedication; the time and attention paid to the "Little Things" for each and every Resident, and the overall feeling of "Family" this gives to everyone concerned, especially the Residents.

The range of services offered by Rydal House Nursing Home are quite extensive:-

- Respite care.
- Convalescence care.
- Day care.
- 24 Hour Nursing care.
- Trips out can be arranged.
- Post-operative care.
- Visiting Hairdresser.
- Visiting Chiropodist.

There are no restrictions on visitors, all relatives and friends of Residents are welcome at the Home at any time. Residents are encouraged to bring with them items of a personal nature such as photographs, ornaments etc., also small items of furniture space permitting.

All rooms are supplied with a colour television, however there is a TV lounge where Residents can meet and socialise or entertain friends and relations.

A portable phone is provided for Residents use, either in their rooms or in the lounge so relatives and friends can always keep in touch.

We have a small library at the Home. The local library is just down the road, carrying a wide range of literature including editions in large print.

Daily newspapers and magazines may be ordered from the local newsagent and delivered to our door.

Special diets are catered for at the Home, each Resident has their own catering card listing their preferences and dislikes in food. Meals can be taken in the dining room or in the Residents own rooms.

A patio which is accessed by way of french doors from the lounge overlooks the garden and is a pleasant spot to spend summer afternoon Wheelchair access is also at the rear of the Home.
